Get Linux is a portable and open source download client, which interacts
with a server side library for downloading numerous Linux-based
operating systems. With the help of this utility, you can download up to
more than 100 Linux distributions, by simply selecting their name from
the available list. This makes it easy to obtain the most updated Linux
OS, without having to manually search and download the ISO file via a
browser. Along with the selected operating system, Get Linux downloads
also downloads a PNG and JPG image, as well as OS.cfg (Script File).
At
startup, Get Linux reads the Settings.cfg, file, downloads the OSL.cfg,
and then randomly selects an operating system. You can select a desired
operating system by scrolling down the list, which includes many of the
widely used and even lesser know Linux OS, including Ubuntu, Fedora,
ArchLinux, CentOS, Debian, elementaryOS, Fuduntu, Joli OS, Lubuntu,
Pinguy OS, Zorin OS, Xubuntu, WattOS, and many others. When you select a
Linux distribution, a thumbnail image is displayed along with a
description of the operating system, as well as the version, desktop
type, file size and country of origin. You can also find out more about
the selected Linux OS by heading over to the Distrowatch website
(Distrowatch options), watch YouTube videos related to it (via your
default browser) and visit the developers website (Website button).
Click Download to begin downloading the selected Linux operating system.
In case you are having problem finding your desired Linux OS, you can
search for it, using the Search For OS option from the main interface or
the system tray menu.

The downloaded Linux OS is saved in the same directory (by default) where the executable file of Get Linux is present.
You
can enable an action after the downloading process is complete (Open
Downloaded File or Open Download Folder), change default download
directory, sound and timeout limit (for connecting to the server).
It
is worth mentioning here that this application is currently in beta,
and therefore, might have some bugs. Get Linux works on Windows XP
(requires .Net framework 3.5), Windows Vista and Windows 7.
